HERS Testing & Compliance Services
HERS Verification Testing
On-site diagnostic testing to verify that installed HVAC systems meet the performance specifications required by California's Title 24 energy code. Required for new construction and major retrofits.
Duct Leakage Testing
Pressurization testing of duct systems to measure leakage to outside and leakage to outside conditioned space. Failing systems are repaired and re-tested until they meet code.
Refrigerant Charge Verification
Measurement of refrigerant charge and airflow to confirm the system is operating at rated efficiency. Improper charge can reduce efficiency by 20% or more.
Fan Watt Draw Testing
Verification that air handler fan watt draw meets the efficiency requirements specified in the Title 24 compliance documentation.
ASHRAE 62.2 Ventilation
Verification that mechanical ventilation systems provide the minimum outdoor air required by ASHRAE 62.2 for indoor air quality in residential buildings.
CF3R & CF2R Documentation
Preparation and submission of required HERS compliance forms — CF2R installation certificates and CF3R field verification reports — to the CHEERS registry.
